Abstract

The aim of this paper is creation and substantiation of a theoretical model of the cultural impact of information
technologies used in DH disciplines, within the academic community and beyond.
Research methodology. The study used cultural methods (phenomenological, hermeneutic, culturological modeling
method), as well as systemic and comparative approaches. To formalize the analysis, the method of operationalization of
concepts and elements of the metrological approach (scaling, introduction of weighting coefficients) were used. The
evaluation of indicators is carried out on the basis of an expert approach. The empirical basis is case studies of the use of
information technologies in digital humanities. Results. The IT Efficiency Index in DH (IEIT-DH) has been developed and
substantiated, for which the formula is introduced: IEIT- DH = wDD +wEE +wCC +wRR, where: «D» is disciplinary
coverage, «E» is epistemic efficiency, «C» is cultural transformativity, «R» is methodological reproducibility of
technology and its institutional embeddedness, and «wі» are the weights of each component of the index. Scales for expert
assessment of technologies were proposed according to specific criteria of the corresponding indicators and the logic of
distribution of weight coefficients according to these types of IT was determined.Novelty. A vector-profile model of
cultural analysis of IT in digital humanities has been developed, which combines a formalized representation (D, E, C, R)
with differentiated weighting of indicators depending on the cultural context of their application. The practical significance
lies in creating a tool for structured comparative analysis of ІТ, which allows substantiating expert assessments of their
cultural impact and applying the model in research, educational and expert practice of DH.
