The purpose of the article is to analyze the principal achievements of Baroque instrumentalism and to determine their significance in shaping contemporary performance practice, with particular attention to stylistic features, interpretative approaches, and historically informed performance.
Research methods. The methodological foundation of the study is the intonational approach, traditional in Ukrainian musicology, which is essential for understanding music in its genetic affinity with human speech sound expression, as reflected in the works of T. Vierkina, O. Kozarenko, I. Kotliarevskyi, K. Mühlberg, O. Nemkovych, and other prominent Ukrainian scholars. The results consist in identifying the key stylistic and expressive features of Baroque instrumentalism, clarifying the principles of their interpretation in contemporary performance practice, and substantiating the significance of historically informed approaches for the development of modern performance culture.
The novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive reinterpretation of Baroque instrumentalism as a dynamic factor in contemporary performance practice, with an emphasis on the integration of historically informed approaches intonational analysis, and modern interpretative strategies.
The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its findings in the professional training of musicians, particularly wind instrumentalists, as well as in expanding their repertoire and improving interpretative approaches to Baroque music within contemporary performance practice.
